Camp Casey
Coupeville, WA on Whidbey Island
Most of us have two selves--our innermost, truest self, where we are connected to our soul-self, our life purposes, and our creativity; and (if we grew up in an environment that taxed our ability to cope) a second self that we developed to manage our feelings, experiences, and our survival.
When we are in a situation that is quite similar to the conditions we grew up with, we are automatically equipped to handle it, but if we enter situations where more possibilities exist, our old patterns will do one of two things: either make us a misfit in the alien situation, or invite others to treat us as we are used to being treated.
If you would like to have the power of choice between living in the old, familiar, possibly unhappy world, and in a current world with livelier skills and more energy, come to this retreat. You won't have to give up your old, comfortable ways, you'll just give yourself more choice about whether or not to use them.
Until we have certain skills, those old ways kick in automatically. By gaining choice, you can use them or not use them, so that you are always able to stay within reach of your comfort level.
If you have certain habitual reactions, does it make sense that this gets you the same experiences over and over?
If you're curious about finding out who you can really be, join us.
Like a spiral staircase that carries you slowly deeper, you will practice a process that spirals you gradually into greater contact with your positive, wise self. The entire weekend will be a ...
Homecoming
You'll find
a part of yourself you may never have known.
You'll
find connection
with others that will always be with you, and you'll have the option
to continue meeting with them.
You'll be immersed in a delightful and healthy lifestyle--just the way you've always wanted to treat yourself--with gourmet abstinent food, quiet walks by the sea, nap time, and hysterical laughter.
Sign up quickly. Beds are assigned in order of registration. At rustic Camp Casey, we have simple and plain accommodations in a windswept seaside setting with abundant, gourmet meals.
