How to Avoid Self-Sabotage

Act without Hesitation

If you know the retreat offers you something you need, register right away.

The Consequences of Hesitation:

If you let doubts or fears rule you, you'll miss an opportunity to move forward. The longer you wait, the more it will cost to have an effective experience.

If you wait till all the beds are taken, it will cost even more--the price of a hotel.

By Acting Now:

You'll save money, as much as $50.

If you are onsite, you'll be able to walk on the beach or in the forest, rest in your own bed during nap time, stargaze, hike a nature trail, and have all your things right there.

Other ways to avoid self-sabotage:

Arrive on time--[Being late always puts you at a disadvantage and into catch-up mode.]

In traveling to the island, take care to get the ferry that will get you to the conference center on time. (Your information packet will advise you on this.).

Be mostly packed by the day before you leave.

Bring all the items suggested in your information packet.

If you need support to act positively for yourself, use your recovery meeting or partner with a friend in coming to the retreat.
